What are the school hours?
Student Day:
- Start: 7:45 AM (students should be in class)
- Dismissal: 3:15 PM
- Earliest arrival: 7:15 AM

How do I handle morning drop-off and after-school pick-up?
Exact procedures are communicated the week before school begins. Follow designated lanes and staff instructions.
What after-school options are available?
- After-Care Program: Supervised care including quiet work time and recreation.
- Enrichment Programs: Varies by semester (e.g., fencing, robotics, Mad Science).

What do I do if my child is tardy, sick, or absent?

Health: Keep children home until they are symptom-free (no fever/vomiting) without medication for 24 hours.

Teacher Assignments & School Supplies
Teachers: Shared at "Meet the Teacher" the week before school starts (August).
Supplies: Lists are on the School Website. It is often better to wait until August for specific teacher requests.
How do I get involved and what is VIPS?
VIPS: You must complete a background check every year to volunteer on campus.
PTO: Visit the PTO Website to see volunteer opportunities or attend our monthly meetings.
Lunch, Spirit Wear & Uniforms
Lunch: Meals are free via HISD. View menus on the School Cafe App.
Uniforms: There is no school uniform.
Spirit Wear: Purchase field trip and school shirts at the online Spirit Store.
