Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPS)

  VIPS Registration is now open.  

To ensure a safe and welcoming school environment, Houston ISD requires all volunteers must to complete the required background check before participating in any school-related activities. This screening helps create a secure school environment and aligns with district policies aimed at protecting children. Complete the registration steps to become an APPROVED VIPS volunteer for the 2025-2026 school year.
