TEACHER APPRECIATION WEEK VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
MAY 5 - 9
The PTO Teacher Appreciation Team has organized a week of events to shower our Teachers with gratitude. Volunteers are needed to help with set-up, serving, and clean-up afterwards. (Make sure you are VIPS approved for the 2024-2025 school year https://www.houstonisd.org/vips).

The 2025 Silent Auction is LIVE!
The 2025 TH Rogers Silent Auction is live from April 28, 2025 5:00PM - May 9, 2025 10:00PM.
Register for a betterworld account and bid on the following unique opportunities:
-THR Experiences with teachers and staff including zoo with Mrs. Vashisht, cookie decorating, origami, bowling, pasta making, etc.
-Parent's Picks donated by each grade level ranging from breakfast with an astronaut to themed baskets
-Educational: THR after care program, enrichment programs, summer camps and birthday parties
-Memberships to the zoo, HMNS, arboretum, Trotter YMCA, etc.
-Leisure: 2 nights at the Hyatt Lost Pines resort & spa, houston symphony, astros, etc.
-Dine, Shop, Relax: restaurant gift cards, massages, and make up lesson
-Services: Custom cookies, allergy test, dental exam, pet grooming, and photo session
-Socials hosted by THR families: middle school pickleball tournament, Mom vs Sons soccer, kickball fun, painting with friends, hair care workshops, Moms coffee tasting, and Mah Jong class

Message from the Co-Presidents
Dear PTO Members,
Thank you to all PTO members for your invaluable feedback on the proposed bylaws revisions on such short notice. Your engagement is crucial in shaping our community, and we truly appreciate your support! Please click on the following links for the revised proposed PTO bylaws (Draft A and Draft B). Highlights of each draft are also included below.
Highlights for Draft A:
- Similar structure to how PTO is currently operating
- Includes Co-Presidents who serve staggered terms
- Includes a larger Board of Directors
- Audit Committee not included as there is concern as to whether there are enough volunteers with qualified experience who are available. Outsource to someone who has correct expertise.

Voting will be held during the General Meeting on May 8th. The Meeting Agenda, along with the Zoom login information, will be provided in the coming days.

ELEMENTARY EVENTS - POOL DAYS
Kinder - 2nd Grade: MAY 17, 1:15 PM to 3:15 PM
3rd - 5th Grade: MAY 31, 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM
As the temperatures rise, get ready for some fun in pool! Please mark your calendars for the Elementary Events’ Pool Days at Bellaire Aquatic Center.

Sign up opens on Monday April 28th, 8 AM
This event is exclusively for current THR students and is not a drop off event. Every student attending must have an adult/parent chaperone
Additional information:
Some shaded areas but sunscreen and hats recommended
For flexible seating, consider bringing a folding chair
Water toys permitted
Light snack and drinks will be available from PTO
You may bring additional snacks and beverages. No glass containers.
Space is limited. If your plans change, please let us know so we can offer your spot to someone else.

Thank you to all who took part in our April 17 Special Meeting. We are thrilled to report that it was the largest turnout we have seen in several years.
FAMILY SUPPER: MAY 9
5:30-8:00pm
Join current and incoming Rams Families for our Annual Family Supper. Enjoy Dinner and dessert, Photobooth, DJ, and the THR Rock Band. Visit booths to learn about some of our afterschool Clubs. Silent Auction items will also be on display! All current and new families are welcome.
Pre-sale tickets will be available for pick up at the event. If you missed the Pre-sale, Tickets will be for sale for $25 at the door (no cash will be accepted).
